Millie Bobby Brown is seen in the poster for her new film Damsel, as a 2024 release date is announced
On Tuesday, Netflix released a new poster for Millie Bobby Brown’s next film.
The latest look at Damsel shows the title character dressed in tattered and tattered finery, standing in a mountain cave with the shadow of a dragon lurking.
It was also announced that the film will be released in 2024.
Damsel was supposed to be released in October, but has been pushed back to sometime in 2024 due to production delays caused not only by the actors’ work stoppage, but also by the recently settled writers’ strike.
The film’s synopsis reads: ‘A young woman agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover it was all a trap. She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely only on her wits and will to survive.’
The director is Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

This comes on the same day the streamer teased the opening scene of season five of Stranger Things, the show that made the 19-year-old actress a household name.
Production on the much-anticipated final season of the beloved series has been postponed due to the ongoing actors’ strike.
Millie was criticized for saying she was ready to end the show.
“When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘Okay, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here,'” the star shared Glamour.
The frustrated star said filming the series takes a lot of time and prevents me from creating stories I am passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you and goodbye.’
Some fans of the sci-fi show weren’t happy with Millie’s comments and made a few of their own.
“Imagine being so ungrateful to the role that made you famous and made you millions,” one person complained.
“I hate celebs who don’t like the projects they gave this name to,” another argued.
Others understood her need to move on.
“I want that for her,” wrote a sympathetic fan. “She needs to move on and not just be known as Eleven.”
Final season: The new poster was released on the same day that Stranger Things writers revealed the first moments of the opening scene of the final season of the sci-fi hit that made the actress a household name
Goodbye: Millie was 12 when Stranger Things debuted on Netflix, and is looking forward to the series finale. She explains that filming takes a lot of time and keeps me from creating stories that I am passionate about. So I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you and goodbye’
According to the Netflix Instagram account, a new trailer for the action film is expected to be released on Saturday, November 11.
‘This is NOT a fairy tale. Millie Bobby Brown stars in Damsel. Watch the teaser trailer this Saturday on #geekedweek!’ the post advised.
The studio’s description of the project says it focuses on ‘A dutiful lady agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an old debt . She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely on her wits and will to survive.”
The news just keeps getting better for Millie’s fans.
Collider reported Tuesday that Netflix is game for a third film in the Enola Holmes franchise.
The Emmy nominee stars as the little sister of detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill, in the action series about a smart and resourceful teenage girl who wants to ignore Victorian society and solve her own cases.
Netflix film head Scott Stuber told the outlet, “The Holmes IP is strangely elastic.”
He explained, “Warner Bros. has done fantastic work with (Robert) Downey and Jude Law (as Holmes and Watson), so the idea that we can expand that IP with her is exciting.
‘We are working on a scenario again to try to get that. But yes, ambition. I’d like to do another one.’
In production notes released by Netflix for Enola Holmes 2, the actress and producer says she relates more to the young detective than her character, Eleven, in Stranger Things. The fact that I can identify with Enola helps me to continually add more things to her, because as I grow, so does Enola.”
Enola 3: Rumor has it that Netflix is hoping for a third Enola Holmes movie. The actress says she finds the character more relatable. “Eleven in Stranger Things is so much deeper than who I am, while Enola feels like I’m returning to a place of normality and consistency.”
Sister: In the Enola franchise, Millie stars as the younger sister of detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill, who uses her own talents of deduction to solve mysteries
She continued, “Eleven in Stranger Things is so much deeper than who I am, while Enola feels like I’m returning to a place of normalcy and consistency.”
‘I’m able to really create her character organically… Of course there are times when (director) Harry Bradbeer comes up to me and says, “Is that Millie or Enola?” And I say, “That’s Millie, let’s do it again!”
Another expected project of the actress is expected to release after New Year.
The Electric State, starring Chris Pratt, is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2024.
