The 30-year-old pop star posted a short video clip to Instagram featuring part of the song in which she wore a white bathing suit and black lingerie.

“Flowers is #1 worldwide for its 12th week thanks to YOU. Gratitude,” Miley wrote as a caption to her approximately 205 million followers.

Miley accessorized with white sunglasses and added a pop of color with bright red lipstick.

The Hannah Montana star also posted on Instagram last month when Flowers became “#1 for an 8th week.”

Flowers was released on January 12 through Columbia Records as the lead single from Miley’s eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation.

The song’s lyrics refer to Miley’s relationship with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, 33, and their brief marriage.

The former couple met in 2009 while filming the movie The Last Song. They had an on-again, off-again relationship for years before getting married in December 2018.

They separated in August 2019 and divorced in February 2020 and fans think Flowers lyrics are about marriage.

In Flowers, she sings “Built a home and watch it burn,” which could refer to the Malibu house the couple lost in the 2018 Woolsey Fire.

In addition, Miley’s new song Muddy Feet also sparked social media backlash against her Australian ex, with fans speculating that the song’s lyrics were about his infidelity.

The guitar-driven ballad Jaded would also be about Liam.

On the song, she sings, “Sorry you’re jaded / I could have taken you places / You’re lonely now and I hate it.”

The self-love song Flowers was praised by critics and broke records on Spotify upon its release.

Flowers became the fastest song to reach over 100 million plays worldwide on Spotify after reaching the milestone in just seven days.

The single debuted at the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart and spent eight weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Flowers in Liam’s native Australia amassed more than 5 million streams in its first week, breaking the first-week record in Australian history.
