A wild new theory has emerged about Miley Cyrus’ fiery diss track, Flowers.
The song has made headlines for its obvious references to Miley’s ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, including lyrics about the Miami wildfire that destroyed their home.
But some online sleuths believe the music video also contains a hidden message about Liam’s relationship with his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

The video, released on Liam’s birthday, shows Miley strutting through the Hollywood hills in a skintight gold dress from Saint Laurent’s fall/winter 1991 collection.
Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that her dress resembles the gold Prabal Gurung gown Jennifer wore when she attended the Hunger Games premiere with Liam in Los Angeles on March 12, 2012.
The similarity between the two outfits becomes apparent in a viral. Tik Tok Video titled ‘Tell us about Miley! Queen of Shade’ showing side-by-side images of Miley in the video of Flowers and Jennifer on the red carpet.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that Liam cheated on Miley with Jennifer, as Liam could have had a break with Miley during the off-screen kiss with his co-star.
The pair were the subject of persistent romance rumors during filming, with Jennifer finally admitting during a WWHL interview in 2015 that she had kissed Liam off-camera.
However, the meaning behind Miley’s gold dress has sparked alternate theories.
The dress was part of the Saint Laurent collection in 1991, which is the year between Miley and Liam’s births: she was born in November 1992 and he was born in January 1990.
Moments after wearing the Saint Laurent dress, Miley dons a black blazer from the same designer’s 2022 collection.
Miley and Liam began dating in 2009 while filming The Last Song (pictured in film), and had an on-off relationship for a decade before finally calling it quits in 2019.
Some believe this symbolizes how Miley has moved on from the relationship she started as a teenager and is ready for a new era.
During their time together, the couple often wore Saint Laurent, including at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in February 2019, when Liam infamously scolded Miley when she started twerking on the red carpet.
It comes as theories continue to circulate about his Flowers success.

In the opening verse, Miley sings that they “built a house and watched it burn,” likely referencing her and Liam’s $2.5 million home that burned down in the 2018 California fires.
He also alludes to the Australian actor’s sudden divorce act in 2019 by singing, “I didn’t want to leave you / I didn’t want to lie / I started to cry.”
At the time, it was believed that Miley was hoping to work on their on-again, off-again relationship of 10 years and was surprised that Liam wanted to legally end things.
Miley dropped the racy music video for her new single Flowers on her ex-husband Liam’s 33rd birthday. The song and video contain various references to her relationship and breakup.
