Miley Cyrus’ dad Billy Ray pays tribute to her on her 32nd birthday amid their estrangement

Billy Ray Cyrus posted a birthday tribute in honor of his daughter Miley Cyrus’ 32nd birthday.

The Achy Breaky Heart singer, 63, shared a slideshow of images from times gone by with Miley on Instagram.

‘Congratulations Miles!!! I hope it’s the best ever! (I know I dropped the ‘y’. That’s what I called most of her life ),” he captioned the post.

Billy Ray shared a photo of himself with Miley as a baby, during her days on Hannah Montana, and a more recent photo of them together on stage at Glastonbury.

He also shared a collage of photos of himself with his daughter on his Instagram Stories.

Miley and her father have been estranged since he divorced her mother Tish Cyrus in April 2022.

But things got worse between Miley and Billy Ray during his short, ill-fated marriage to 35-year-old Firerose.

Over the summer, an audio recording of the Old Town Road hitmaker surfaced in which Cyrus calls his daughter both the “devil” and a “skank.”

He said, “Everyone knows the devil is a slut,” before calling Miley’s mother a “liar… a whore… and a cheater.”

Once the rant became public, Billy Ray tried to backtrack, saying his words were taken out of context, but Miley has had enough of her father’s antics.

A source told DailyMail.com that Miley was more hurt by the fact that her father also lashed out at her mother Tish, who never mentions Billy by name, instead calling him “s**t.”

“Honestly, Miley isn’t surprised these words came out of his mouth,” the insider said.

“Miley is too concerned about what Billy Ray has to say about her, her mother or her siblings. Miley is as independent of a woman as possible, and she refuses to let her father, or any man, break her heart.”

Billy Ray shares three children with Tish: Miley, Braison, 30, and Noah Cyrus, 24.

He also has a son from a previous relationship and adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi, 37, and Trace, 35, when they got married.

Although Miley has yet to acknowledge her father’s birthday tribute, she did mark the special day with her own social media post.

She posted a beautiful photo of herself on her Instagram Stories to thank her fans for their support and birthday wishes on Saturday.

“Thank you all for the birthday wishes,” she wrote alongside the image of her wearing a black vest, pants and futuristic-looking sunglasses.

“My gift to my fans is celebrating my 6 million plaques with you,” she added, as a gold number six stood behind her.
