A fundraiser set up to help the family of a teenage motocross star killed in a tragic stabbing has blown past its target in just hours.

Seb O’Halloran was allegedly stabbed outside a house in Limpidi Drive, Mildura, about 540km northwest of Melbourne, about 1.05am on Saturday.

Tributes continue to flow for the 18-year-old, who was known for his fearless dirt bike riding and loyal friendships within the Mildura community.

a GoFundMe page has already risen to over $23,000 just hours after going live.

The fundraiser remains open despite reaching its $20,000 target as shocked Australians dig deep to help the beloved teen’s heartbroken family.

“Seb was a much-loved son, brother, grandson and buddy. “Everyone who knew him loved his personality, brash manners, his passion for motocross, hard work ethic and love for his family and friends,” the fundraiser said.

“Seb’s passing has shocked both his loved ones and our community and is something we are still trying to come to terms with.”

Victoria Police homicide detectives arrested a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man after Seb’s death and later charged the girl with murder.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident have yet to be established, but (the) parties involved are known to each other,” police said in a statement.

It remains unclear how Seb became involved in the deadly altercation.

Paramedics rushed to the scene, but were unable to save him.

Early reports indicated that Seb may have intervened in an argument between the pair.

The girl was brought before a children’s court hearing via video link on Sunday afternoon.

The court heard it was her first time in custody and she had to be seen by a nurse due to cuts and bruises on her body.

CCTV footage and DNA samples will form part of the case against the teenager Herald Sun reported.

The young girl sat with her arms folded and answered “no” when asked if she had any questions about the legal proceedings.

She was remanded in custody until her next court hearing on November 9.

A friend of Seb told the newspaper that Seb had been at a nightclub in Mildura with friends before suddenly leaving.

“He had to go away to do something and I was supposed to go with him but decided I would stay at the club and wait for him,” he said.

“He told me he was coming back for me and a few others, so I stayed with the other guys.

“I’m still sitting here waiting for him to come back to me like he said.”

Seb had been a fearless motocross rider, having raced in the Hattah Desert Race.

The rider’s social media pages were full of photos of him tearing up dirt roads across the country.

Tributes flowed on Monday as the shocked Mildura community came to terms with the loss of another young life.

‘My world, my brother, my best friend, my guardian angel. I love you more than anything the universe has to offer,” pal Damon Burke wrote online.

Des O’Halloran said Seb’s family could not understand how the tragedy could happen.

“We are all shocked and saddened by his tragic passing. We are only 18 years old and have our whole lives ahead of us. We will never understand why this happened… just terrible,” he stated.
