Mikel Arteta hits back at ‘unfair’ criticism of his Arsenal stars after they were criticized for ‘ignoring’ a mascot for last week’s draw at West Ham…as the young fan’s father insists the footage is just a ‘little window’ into her wares day
Mikel Arteta has hit back at ‘unfair’ criticism of his players after they were criticized for ‘ignoring’ a young mascot ahead of last week’s draw at West Ham.
Arsenal came under fire earlier this week after posting a video showing their players signing a shirt for eight-year-old Olivia Murray.
Arteta’s stars were accused of being “just, overpaid and rude,” but the girl’s father insisted the images were just a “tiny window” into her day.

And on Thursday, Arteta insisted: ‘First of all it comes from Arsenal TV and when you talk about connection and what we’ve built with our supporters, that’s for what we do every day.
“You speak to (her) parents and they had a great day. So you just saw a fragment of a photo – what happened before and after that no one saw and I don’t think it’s fair.’
When asked if he was concerned about how his players were viewed, the manager added: “I don’t think they are seen that way. Not at all.’
