Mike Tyson says he ‘would like to’ help Francis Ngannou prepare for his blockbuster bout vs Tyson Fury
Mike Tyson has admitted he would ‘love’ to coach Francis Ngannou ahead of his blockbuster fight against Tyson Fury.
The mixed martial arts star will make his ring debut against the WBC heavyweight champion in a 10-round bout in Saudi Arabia on October 28.
Ngannou, who has never been beaten in his UFC career, has earned his reputation in martial arts as a tough hitter with devastating knockout victories against the likes of Alistair Overeem, Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Stipe Miocic.
And while he is one of the most respected fighters in the world, “The Predator” has previously admitted that he would seek advice from Tyson, in an effort to help him prepare for his fight against Fury.
“I think it would be good to get some advice or training from Mike Tyson,” the 36-year-old told TMZ sports.

“I’m also thinking of someone like Lennox Lewis who could be good.
“I like his boxing style, very basic but very sharp and efficient. One two [punches]all that stuff, classic but very good.
‘Yes, one of those guys. We’re definitely reaching out.”
The fight itself has received a lot of attention, with some calling it a “Mickey Mouse” fight, while others including Carl Froch have also slammed the crossover fight as an “absolute load of s***.”
While it will be interesting to see how the MMA fighter stacks up against the Gypsy King, Fury is the favorite to win by a big margin.
But former unified heavyweight champion Tyson rejected claims that anger could defeat Ngannou, insisting that he packs a very strong punch.
‘I think anything is possible. He’s got a hard punch,” the famer’s boxing hall said ES News.

“I would like to do that, yes. That would be cool. I like that,” Tyson added when the prospect of training “The Predator” came up.

It comes after the former unified heavyweight champion previously gave the MMA star a lesson on how to fight the Gypsy King in 2020.
A video posted online shows the youngest heavyweight champion in the sport’s history giving a masterclass to Ngannou on how to handle his upcoming opponent.

“He hits long, when he hits like that, he hits long and you’ve got those short punches inside and inside and around and boom, you’ve got to hit right on the body here,” Tyson is heard telling the former UFC fighter. “See how you hit him with the right uppercut.”
Ngannou turned down a contract extension with Dana White’s fight league in January that could make him the highest-paid fighter in the UFC.
He was subsequently stripped of his title, with the Cameroonian seeking more lucrative payday in the boxing ring.
And he has done just that, with the MMA fighter now poised to make more money in his upcoming fight against Fury than in his entire UFC career.
