He recently shocked fans by claiming his ‘expiration date’ is ‘coming really soon’ – and Mike Tyson’s appearance in a wheelchair will do little to ease the fears of those who worry about him.

Tyson, 56, posed for selfies with fans and was wheeled through the terminal at Miami International Airport Tuesday.

The iconic heavyweight boxer has been suffering with a ‘sciatica flare-up’, a medical condition relating to the lower back, which is said to be an ‘old issue’. He was pictured using a cane last month although it now appears he needs more help with his mobility while travelling.

He has previously revealed back pain made him quit boxing – and a serious flare-up in 2020 left him in tears and bed-bound for two weeks.

But an insider close to Tyson assured fans, speaking to TMZ: ‘It’s just an occupational hazard for an athlete like Mike’.

More recently, Iron Mike has spoken morbidly about how he expects his death to come ‘really soon’ while speaking to a trauma and addiction therapist.

‘We are all gonna die one day, of course,’ Tyson said.

‘Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face, I say, “Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon”.’

In recent weeks, Tyson has taken on streaming service Hulu, who have allegedly produced a series on his life without his consent, nor without offering him a modicum of compensation.

Taking to social media Tyson embarked on a verbal undressing of Hulu, accusing them of creating a ‘slave master take over story’ of his life.

Tyson’s first post on the matter came via Instagram, thanking his friend and UFC president, Dana White for his refusal to be involved in Mike.

‘Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life,’ he explained.

‘He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity.

‘I’ll never forget what he did for me just like I’ll never forget what Hulu stole from me.’

Tyson had his first professional bout in 1985, beating Hector Mercedes aged just 18.

‘Iron Mike’ quickly gained a reputation for his ferocious and intimidating style and was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, – as well as being the only heavyweight fighter to unify them in succession.

He served three years in jail for the rape of teenager Desiree Washington in July of 1991 and declared himself bankrupt in 2003 – despite earning over $30million for several of his fights and $300million across his career.
