Tough Decisions: Mike Ashley

Mike Ashley’s daughter has been appointed CEO of his retail empire.

Matilda Ashley, 27, is now a director of Mash Holdings, which manages his stake in Frasers Group and other companies.

She has stepped down as director of her own beauty company, Double Take.

This move may come as a surprise in the city, after it was previously revealed that the 59-year-old businessman hires family members.

Frasers appointed Michael Murray, married to his eldest daughter Anna, as CEO two years ago.

And Matilda’s friend David Al-Mudallal is Frasers’ COO and also a board member.

He is one of the youngest directors of a FTSE 100 company.
