Retail magnate Mike Ashley has launched a fresh attack on Boohoo’s beleaguered management ahead of a crucial meeting later this month.
Ashley, who wants Boohoo shareholders to give him a seat on the board, criticized his bosses in an open letter yesterday, accusing them of “panic-induced mismanagement” that is “erasing shareholder value and destroying the future of the company endangers’.
He also warned against a “fire sale” of assets
Boohoo said Ashley was “seeking a seat on the board for his own interests” and that management is “focused on maximizing value for all shareholders.”
