Fans mourn the sudden death of beloved Haitian singer Mikaben after he passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 15.
The 41-year-old music artist collapsed after unexpectedly ending his show at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Mikaben, whose official name was Michael Benjamin, abruptly stopped the show to leave the stage before falling to the floor. e! News reported.

The fans in attendance captured the moment on video and shared the images via social media.
Medical professionals performed CPR on the renowned talent when fans were asked to leave the venue.
Medical assistance was to no avail and the singer was pronounced dead without the cause of death being determined at this time.
On October 16 at around 1:30 AM, the arena took to Twitter to confirm the sad news.

It was written in French: ‘Last night during the Carimi concert, one of the singers, Michael Benjamin, Mikaben of his stage name, died due to a malaise on stage and despite the intervention of the emergency services.’
Mikaben leaves behind his pregnant wife Vanessa Benjamin and their two children – son Gabriel Benjamin and daughter Leïa Benjamin.
Vanessa took to Instagram on Sunday to write followers to express her grief over the tragedy.
“Thanks for the prayers, but please stop calling me. I am unable to speak,” she wrote. “I’ve lost my other half and I have no words.”

In a second message, she added: “Oh mon Dieu, Heavenly Father, I know you make no mistakes and you will not give us what we cannot [bear] but…this pain is very heavy.’

The distraught mother said she “drowned in this grief,” but said, “I won’t question you, God.”
Last month, Vanessa posted a series of maternity photos of her husband and their two children, captioned: “This part of my life is nothing but pure love and happiness, thank you Lord.”

Mikaben had a major impact on the Haitian community with his touching song Ayti Se, released after the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
Musician Wyclef Jean told the Miami Herald his death ‘is a shock’, adding: ‘All I could remember was his smile. This is one of the most influential and inspiring young artists of our generation.’
Benjamin came from the famous musician father Lionel Benjamin and mother Roseline.
Born in Port-au-Prince, he began writing at age 15 and continued to work on music while studying abroad in Montreal, Canada, the paper reported.
