A Florida high school student’s massive stash of weapons has come to light after the 11-year-old allegedly bragged about his hit list and threatened to target two schools.
Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli of Port Orange has been charged with making a written threat regarding a mass shooting — a felony — after he threatened to shoot up his school, Creekside Middle School, or nearby Silver Sands Middle School, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said. announced on Monday.
Authorities said they received a tip from other students that Dorelli had shown them his gun collection during a FaceTime call, along with a list of targets.
Some said they could not determine whether the weapons were real or fake, WESH reports.

During a subsequent search of the boy’s room, authorities found a large quantity of airsoft guns, fake ammunition, swords, knives and throwing stars, which the sheriff had laid out on a table as if it were a drug bust.
Officials also found a piece of paper in his room with several names on it, with stab wounds next to it.
The child later admitted that he had shown his friends his collection of airsoft guns and some of his knives, but could not remember whether he told them that “the airsoft guns were not real, functioning firearms,” according to an affidavit. obtained by Spectrum News 13.

Officials with the Volusia County School District later told WESH that “safety is our top priority. This situation is an example of how the security measures in our schools, and our partnership with law enforcement, ensure the safety of our students and staff.”

“We take all reports extremely seriously and work with police to ensure they are thoroughly investigated,” they added.
