Some photos can leave you in awe.
That is certainly the case with the winning images of the One Eyeland Awards 2022a photo competition that aims to recognize ‘exceptional photography from around the world’.
Based in India, the photo sharing site An Eyeland was founded in 2008 by photographer Sharad Haksar. For the awards, a jury of 29 ‘esteemed artists’ was tasked with choosing the overall winners from more than 3,600 photos from 54 countries.
A heartwarming photo of a sleeping baby chimpanzee, an epic photo of a colony of penguins dwarfed by a giant iceberg, and a mesmerizing image of a pair of elephants crossing an African plain are among the photos that have garnered much acclaim.
However, it is the work of Thai photographer Jatenipat Jkboy Ketpradit that won the jury over and earned him the Photographer of the Year award.
