Microsoft Teams is finally working on this incredibly basic, but super useful sharing tool

Ensuring that your colleagues or colleagues are included (or excluded) from the right projects and work tasks could soon become a lot easier thanks to a new Microsoft Teams update.

The videoconferencing platform announced that it is working on a new way to quickly and easily share contact information with people who are not in a specific chat.

The company says this move will make it easier for others to “get to know other employees with confidence,” making the platform even more useful for businesses around the world.

A rather short one entry The official Microsoft 365 roadmap doesn't go into too much detail about how the new feature will actually work, but given the way previous similar additions work, we'd imagine sharing will be facilitated via the right-click.

The feature is currently still listed as “in development” but has a planned rollout date of January 2024, meaning users won't have to wait too long.

When it's released, Microsoft says the tweak will be made generally available to all Teams users on Windows desktops and Mac.

The news is the latest in a series of updates and upgrades as Microsoft Teams aims to continue offering the most up-to-date and intuitive experience to users everywhere.

The news came after the company announced it is rolling out the ability to forward messages between Microsoft Teams chats with just one click, saving users time when communicating important notes or alerts.

The change should also make it easier to add extra information when forwarding a message between Microsoft Teams chats, hopefully meaning no vital context is lost or misplaced.

Recently, the platform announced an update that will allow users to manage calendar notifications directly in their Microsoft Teams Activity Feed, meaning there will no longer be a bit of scrambling between apps and services to quell an annoying pop-up or alert.

Microsoft Teams also recently unveiled a feature that allows users to send meeting notifications to a specific person during a call, allowing you to respond or respond in a private manner. The new tool for targeted notifications during meetings uses a bot to ensure that your message remains (relatively) secret and only delivered to the expected recipient.
