Microsoft has introduced six new, beautiful colors for the Xbox controller

Xbox is expanding its range of wireless controllers with six dreamy color options. These new designs, also called the ‘Vapor Collection’, live in the Xbox Design Lab, a site that lets you customize the controller of your dreams. While Microsoft has offered metallic finishes and camouflage prints for its controllers before, this range of faint new colors has instantly become one of my favorites.

This series expands with the blue colored ones Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition controller which debuted in August 2023. The Xbox Design Lab is now offering this cool color alongside new smoky green, gray, pink, purple and orange top plates for an additional fee of $9.99 (costing $79.98 each), in addition to the 33 existing colors and designs. Unfortunately, the new colors are only available as top plates, meaning the vapor effect doesn’t extend to your controller’s thumbsticks or other components.

If you’d rather skip the customization process and save some money compared to building it yourself, Xbox offers the pink Dream Vapor special edition controller as a $69.99 standalone purchase. You can pre-order one from the Microsoft Store now, ahead of the February 6 launch.

However, the blue Stormcloud Vapor special edition controller is now available for $59.99. While the rest of the Vapor Collection will eventually get their own special edition controllers, for now the best way to take home one of these slick new designs is to head over to the Xbox Design Lab.
