After teasing us for months with snippets of what its generative AI-powered Copilot assistants can do, Microsoft has now confirmed its plans to offer its users a unified Copilot experience across Bing, Edge, Microsoft 365, and the Windows operating system.
As part of the announcement, Redmond has finally assigned a special icon to Copilot as the AI tool is beginning to expand across the company’s portfolio.
At the same time, Microsoft announced the general availability of Copilot, which will be launched in several phases starting September 26.

Microsoft Copilot in Windows will be available for free to commercial customers and can be accessed using the Win+C keyboard shortcut.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will then launch on November 1 for the expensive price of $30 per user per month.
