Mick Molloy Reveals Comedian Sam Pang ‘Partied Until 6am After The Logies’ In A VERY Unexpected TV Veteran’s Hotel Room

Australian comedian Sam Pang had a bigger night than most at the 63rd Annual Logie Awards on July 30.

The radio presenter, 49, was out partying until 6am after spending the night of the nights on TV, while most of the celebrities and TV big shots were home by 4am.

On Mick & MG from Triple M in the morning on Friday, host Mick Molloy spilled the beans on whose hotel room Sam ended up.

Mick, 57, who hosts Seven Network’s The Front Bar with the TV presenter, said Sam found his way into the suite of none other than TV veteran Daryl Somers.

‘Do you know what I heard? And this is where, (Sam) was in Daryl Somers’ suite, hotel room, until six in the morning,” Mick said.

He added, “Daryl had given him the bat phone, ‘Hey, want to come and talk about hosting Logies?’ They went upstairs and compared, you know, stories.’

“Compared to monologues,” Mark “MG” Geyer laughed, referring to Daryl’s chilling Logies speech full of jokes that fell flat.

Dr. Chris Brown, who was a guest on the radio program Friday morning, said, “You only get one of those invites.”

“You only get one of these,” Mick agreed. “It’s like going up the river to see Kurtz in Apocalypse Now.”

Daryl, 72, is a three-time Gold Logie award winner with a television career spanning more than 50 years.

The media personality has starred in Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Family Feud, Dancing With The Stars and The Graham Kennedy Show.

Nevertheless, his vast camera experience didn’t save him from the awkward blunder that was his botched Logies speech.

As the awards ceremony entered its fifth hour, Daryl took the stage to present the Gold Logie to Dancing With The Stars co-host Sonia Kruger.

However, his time behind the microphone was troubled when he started a bizarre skit with a mock auction of the nominees.

And as the camera hovered over the confused and tired audience, it landed on comedian Tom Gleeson who seemed to say the words, “This isn’t funny.”
