Michelle Yeoh cosies up to former soap heartthrob at the premiere for their film Star Trek: Section 31 – but can YOU guess who it is?

Michelle Yeoh sat down with a former soap heartthrob at the premiere of their new movie Star Trek: Section 31 in London on Wednesday.

The actress, 62, reprises her iconic role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou in the film – a character she played in Star Trek: Discovery who joins a secret division of Starfleet.

At the premiere, Michelle stood out in a yellow jacket and thigh-high black leather boots.

She completed the look with a sheer top underneath and wore her long dark locks in loose waves over her shoulders.

Michelle looked like she was having a great time as she walked around with the male actor who cut a smart figure in a suit.

But can YOU guess who she is with at the premiere?

That’s right, it’s Robert Kazinsky!

The Section 31 film stars Star Trek superfan Robert Zeph (called ‘The Machine’).

Robert is best known for his roles as Casper Rose in the Sky One drama Dream Team and Sean Slater in the BBC soap EastEnders.

In 2013, he played Chuck Hansen in Pacific Rim and Macklyn Warlow in the sixth season of HBO’s True Blood.

Last July, Robert, who played Sean Slater on Albert Square between 2006 and 2022, was announced as part of the cast of Star Trek: Section 31.

The BBC actor said starring in the film was “the biggest moment” of his life as he is a big fan of science fiction shows.

He will star alongside Michelle and Omari Hardwick in the new film, which ties into the recent Star Trek: Discovery series.

The film is part of producer Alex Kurtzman’s expansion of the Star Trek universe.

Rob took to Instagram to announce the exciting news, writing at the time: ‘Yet ANOTHER dream job alert. My people know that ST [Star Trek] is my life, I can listen to almost every episode of every hike.

“So to be part of the Trek universe is one of, if not the greatest moment of my professional life.

‘I also met @jonathansfrakes for the second time this morning. AND he knew my name!

“I’m joining the most spectacular cast @omarihardwickofficial @kaceykadoodles @thesamrichardson @svenruygrok @humberly and of course @michelleyeoh_official Making it so!”

In a second post, Rob shared the film’s trailer and said he’s “proud” to be a part of it.

He wrote, “I’ve been a Trek fan since I was old enough to understand it. I’m a hard TNG fan with a good second ToS movie. Star Trek is the guide to morality, a future board placed beyond the incredibly fallible and terrible present.

‘So proud to be part of this. With this incredible group of people. The fire starter for a whole new world of trekking.’

Sean left EastEnders in 2009 after three years and then returned to Walford in 2021.

He arrived shortly after Jean (Gillian Wright) contacted him asking for help with Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) new wife Eve (Heather Peace).

It was a brief comeback, something Rob hopes will happen again in the future when he visits Britain from his home in LA.

He previously said: ‘Earlier this year I was able to visit my family in Britain for the first time in years thanks to the global pandemic and a thankfully difficult work schedule, and while I was packing my bags I texted Kate Oates [EastEnders boss] an email.

“It was simple really: I live in LA and if circumstances allow, I’ll try to see my family every year – or more often if I can – so I thought, why wouldn’t Sean do that? Want to pop in for a cup of tea?

‘So I said to Kate, I’m in London for a day, let’s write a scene and come over tomorrow morning and we can do it, better than that, every time I’m in Britain, if I can, let’s do it still do it once and she rallied the troops and made it happen.”
