Gold House, the leading cultural ecosystem powering creatives, businesses and communities in the Asia Pacific, held its meeting third annual Golden Gala on Saturday at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles.

With the theme A Gold New World for 2024, the event imagines ‘a tomorrow for everyone, built by everyone’, according to Golden House newsletter released via AccessWire.

The event brought together some 600 guests, including top Asia Pacific leaders and multicultural leaders, to celebrate the 2024 A100 list, which consists of the 100 most impactful changemakers in Asia Pacific culture and society of the past year.

Academy Award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, 61, was among the celebrities in attendance.

She appeared on the red carpet in a chic cream-colored tweed outfit consisting of a fitted blazer and a mini skirt with shiny gold buttons.

Yeoh shared the stage with filmmaker Jon M. Chu, with whom she collaborated on the hit film Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and again on Wicked and Wicked: Part Two, premiering in November 2024 and November 2025. respectively.

Among the special honorees recognized with onstage presentations were Lucy Liu, Bang Si-Hyuk, Cynthia Erivo, Hoa Xuande, Hello Kitty, Karan Johar, Padma Lakshmi, Saweetie, Valkyrae, the creator and cast of Beef, the first responders of Maui and Olympic gold medalists.

As part of the festivities, Gold Gala guests dined on a three-course dinner from OpenTable, with a menu designed by Lakshmi and Gold Gala director Vijay Kumar and his team from Michelin-starred restaurant Semma in New York.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed unique activations such as glam stations with products from brands from the L’Oréal Groupe portfolio, a cocktail reception with tailor-made drinks presented by Martell Blue Swift and some special surprise moments.
