Michelle Obama defends Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles over Olympic gesture branded ‘disgusting’ by NFL star

Michelle Obama defends Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles after NFL star Marlon Humphrey called the two American gymnasts “disgusting” for bowing to Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade during the Olympics.

After Biles and Chiles made the gesture onstage following their second- and third-place finishes in the floor finals on Monday, respectively, Humphrey — a cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens — quoted a photo of the moment on X and wrote, “This is literally disgusting.”

But now it appears Michelle has had her say in the viral photo, which the former First Lady shared on X just 24 hours after Humphrey’s comment: “I’m still not over this beautiful moment of sisterhood and sportsmanship!

She added: ‘You can just feel the love radiating through these ladies. Congratulations Rebeca, Jordan and Simone!’
