Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright show off incredible his and hers dressing room

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright showed off the transformation of their incredible his and hers dressing room into their new £3million Essex mansion on Thursday.

The former TOWIE star, 36, and the actress, 35, took to their home account to share before and after photos of the impressive renovations.

The couple bought the house in October 2019 for £1.3million and in January 2020 it was revealed that they planned to tear it down to create the sensationally lavish new home of ‘classic design’.

They showed the new dressing room and started with a ‘before’ view of the room still a construction site before Mark clicked his fingers for the camera to show the change.

They have created an oasis of calm with white walls, cream carpets and sleek fitted wardrobes.

There are also two huge shoe cabinets – one for Mark and one for Michelle – carefully stacked with their designer shoes.

The space is filled with mirrors to give a sense of space and a modern look to the area.

Mark wrote in the caption, “His and hers and a dream brought to life for us by the incredible @taylorbespoke.”

It comes after Mark revealed last month that he suffered a £30,000 ‘devastating’ disaster at the property.

He admitted that he made a very costly mistake in trying to give himself a “little bit of privacy.”

Last year, the couple shared their epic plans for the incredibly landscaped garden, lined with trees worth £30,000 to keep them safe from prying eyes.

But in a new interview, Mark confessed that the border trees did not survive the snow this winter.

He explained to Heart Radio: ‘It’s that kind of weather outside where you start thinking about planting your spring/summer plants. I had a bit of a nightmare, I’m not going to lie.’

Mark continued: ‘I planted a few trees in my yard and they all died, and it’s devastating because I’ve been looking at them for so long thinking ‘please grow’.

“They were my boundary trees to give me a little privacy, and the company blamed the soil, because the wrong soil can obviously make your plants look bad.”

“Eventually I found out they recommended the wrong plants to me, and that’s because they’re not supposed to be out in the open in temperatures below minus five degrees and at Christmas it was minus 15 when it snowed.”

Mark’s costly mistake came after the couple’s plans to turn their dream home into a fortress was criticized by two city councils in November.

At the time, Mark and Michelle submitted a new planning application to make the estate safer by surrounding it with a ‘plastered wall’ between 6 and 7 feet high.

Both Epping Forest District Council and Stanford Rivers Parish Council reacted to the ‘improper’ plans, claiming they were inconsistent with the tone of the ‘rural area’ and would have to cut down trees to make way for the wall .

On one side of the site is a public passageway, which the objections say would be blocked.

Epping Forest District Council wrote: ‘This site is in a very rural area, on a small country lane.’

‘While we accept that the existing conifer screen could be considered incongruous in this environment, replacing it with a 2.1 meter high plastered wall would be totally inappropriate and would not enhance the rural landscape environment.

“None of the other properties on this avenue have such inappropriate border treatments.

‘In addition, we note that the wall to the right of the proposed entrance is between trees.

“The trees and forest are protected by a forest tree conservation order, therefore tree reports should have been filed to support the proposal… possibly resulting in loss or damage to important tree assets.

Our records also show a public right of way, and a check of the final public rights of way on the Essex County Council website confirms that no changes have been made to the route.

“Building the walls as proposed would block access to this right-of-way.”

The parish council was equally scathing about the plans, stating: ‘The parish council objects to this application.

‘The design of the height walls, together with the pillars and the gates, does not fit into the rural environment and would detract from the rural character of this specific part of the Parish.

“In addition, a public footpath currently runs through this property, and while we understand that there may be requests to change this in the future, we cannot support a planning application at this time that would effectively block a public thoroughfare.”

Both municipalities had no objection to adding a wooden gate with plastered piers.
