Michelle Collins enjoyed a date night with her toyboy husband Mike Davidson while they attended the Variety Club Show Awards on Monday.

The EastEnders actress, 60, who tied the knot with her lover, 38, in August, seemed happier than ever as she left the London Hilton Park Lane with her beau.

The former soap star, best known for playing Cindy Beale, looked nothing short of sensational in a dazzling black blazer and matching flared trousers.

Michelle carried her belongings in a striking silver bag and adorned with matching flower earrings.

The actress styled her long blonde locks in curls and wore a radiant make-up palette that included a dark smoky eye shadow.

Mike looked good in a black suit, which he teamed with a crisp white shirt and bow tie.

The happy couple tied the knot in August in a low-key ceremony at London’s Islington Town Hall after 10 years together.

Last month, Michelle hit back at critics who feel the need to comment on her age.

She posted a quote from actor Richard Gere on her Instagram page, which read, “I am old, but my heart is young. We always have the same years in our souls, I know it’s the perfect age.

Michelle previously lashed out at critics of the couple’s 22-year age difference, saying she was frustrated at being branded a “cougar.”

“Every year is special and precious and we can live in every year. Don’t regret getting old, it’s a privilege not everyone has.’

Under the update, Michelle wrote, “I’m so fed up with age obsessed people. I don’t care, it’s others who care. Age is just a number.’

She continued, “I love this from @richardtiffanygereoffical, although I think getting older affects women’s careers much more than men. Age is just a number.’

The actress previously lashed out at critics over the duo’s 22-year age difference and was frustrated at being branded a “cougar.”

Michelle said in 2018, “Mike is 22 years younger than me and I’m considered a predator. It drives me crazy. People call him my toyboy beau. He’s almost 35, for God’s sake.

“He turned to me the other day and said, ‘I’m definitely not still your toyboy, am I?’ I laugh about it now, but it’s annoying.

“And I hate that word cougar. I can not stand it. I find it so humiliating. A cougar is a predator that moves around in search of young meat. I’m certainly not like that.’

Michelle and Mike began dating in late 2012, after being set up by Michelle’s cousin, who allegedly worked for Mike at a store.

Soap star Michelle confirmed her engagement to Mike in April 2021 by sharing an image from a friend’s account on her Instagram Stories.

Michelle revealed on social media in April that Mike popped the question while hiking Temescal Canyon in Los Angeles — a decade after the pair first met.

She told her Instagram followers, “So this happened in #la, he got down on a bent knee while we were on top of #temescalcanyon, basically no one else around us. It’s #beautfiul and I’m #happy #10 years old in April I think (sic).’

The couple tied the knot in August this year in a ceremony at Islington Town Hall after Michelle’s now-husband previously admitted he didn’t want to get married.

Also absent was her daughter Maia, 25, who she shares with ex-partner Fabrizio Tassalini, who was also unable to attend because she was “away.”

Michelle said, “It was very emotional because, as Michael said in his speech, we lost a lot of people and there were a lot of people who couldn’t be there.

“We had a picture of it [Mary] in the registry office next to the celebrant and she was also present at the party.
