West Ham's Michail Antonio has reportedly suffered another injury on the brink of his return to action and could miss the rest of January.

The forward has been sidelined since suffering medial knee ligament damage while playing for Jamaica against Canada in November.

The 33-year-old Antonio was expected to play a role in West Ham's FA Cup third round match against Bristol City on Sunday after a two-month absence.

however, the Daily Telegraph Report Antonio suffered a two-to-three week setback when he slipped during training at West Ham's Rush Green base.

It does coincide with the Premier League's winter break, meaning Antonio won't miss too much action. West Ham will play a league match against Sheffield United on January 21.

Manager David Moyes had ruled out additions to his forward line during the currently open transfer window.

This is largely down to Jarrod Bowen's effectiveness as a striker, with the England international scoring 13 goals this season.

Prior to his injury, Antonio was Moyes' first-choice striker for Premier League matches before being substituted from the team for Europa League matches.
