Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella marks one year since cancer diagnosis with poignant post

Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella took to Instagram over the weekend to celebrate one year since her cancer diagnosis and admitted she was “grateful” for the progress she’s made.

Isabella was a freshman in college when she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October 2023 after doctors discovered a tumor “bigger than a golf ball” at the back of her brain, but three months ago she was declared cancer-free and returned to college. August.

Her posts come just two months after she joyfully returned to university after taking a leave of absence due to her cancer treatment.

Isabella underwent multiple surgeries and months of treatment, including chemotherapy, to treat the rare brain tumor.

In July, she triumphantly announced on her YouTube channel that she was “cancer-free” after undergoing her latest MRI.

And in August, she moved back to the University of Southern California with the help of her mother, Michael’s ex-wife Jean Muggli.

Isabella announced the news by happily posting a selfie with Jean on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Back at USC” in the school’s red and gold colors.

After being diagnosed in October 2023, Isabella decided to document her battle with cancer on her YouTube channel.

In a video titled Road to Recovery in July, she explained that she was returning to the hospital for another procedure, but this was one she was “really excited” about.

Just weeks after ringing the chemo bell to signal the end of her treatment, Isabella marked another major milestone: the removal of her chemo port.

In another video shared in February, Isabella opened up about some of the horrible symptoms she endured as a result of her chemotherapy.

At the time, she said that “everything” hurt and that it felt like she was “having a heart attack.”

‘My eyes are tense, it hurts to look at the sides. My whole mouth feels like I’m having one giant root canal,” she continued.

‘Every tooth was pulled out and not even surgically replaced. My jaw hurts, the underside of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I swallow water.’
