A new impressive documentary will provide insight into Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, ten years after his devastating skiing accident.
Schumacher – who won seven world championships – was involved in a tragic accident in December 2013 that left him in an induced coma. He has not appeared in public since.
The German is being cared for by a team of medical staff and his wife Corinna at their home on Lake Geneva, but little has been made public about his condition.
But now fans will finally get an inside look at the F1 star with a new five-part documentary from German broadcaster ARD, airing on December 28 – marking ten years since the horrific skiing accident.
While final details are unclear, it is expected that it will look into his fame in the sport, while it could also provide further insight into what happened with the accident and how he is doing now.

Schumacher is one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time, winning the world title in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
He also added 71 fastest laps and 155 podium finishes to his name during his iconic racing career.
Schumacher’s family remains very protective of his privacy and it is clear that many of their close friends and associates are even unsure about the state of his health.
However, in the Netflix documentary ‘Schumacher’, which aired in 2021, his wife Corinna provided a rare update.
She revealed he is still undergoing rehabilitation for the life-changing injuries he suffered and claimed he is now ‘different, but here’.
The new documentary follows the previous one on Netflix and Schumacher’s brother Ralf recently told German magazine Bunte that he is no longer as close to the F1 legend’s immediate family, but insisted he still loves them.
“When I see his children Gina-Maria and Mick, my heart smiles,” he said. ‘If anyone in the family seeks my advice, I am there. They go their own way.
‘(But unfortunately sometimes life isn’t fair (because of the accident). We have to accept it.’

News of the upcoming documentary also comes after former F1 driver Timo Glock insisted that Schumacher’s health condition should be kept private.
Glock – who is a fellow countryman and was close friends with Schumacher – claimed it was right for his family to keep his health status to themselves, despite public calls for updates on one of the greatest drivers of all time.
“I keep in touch with Mick Schumacher (Michael’s son) because he and I get along well,” he said LuckyBlock.
‘I have also known other members of his family for a long time, but I try not to intrude on their privacy.
“I respect their right to be private, and I do not discuss Michael’s condition with them.”
