Michael Owen has insisted that one of his former teammates at Manchester United had the opportunity to become one of the best players in the world.

After four injury-affected seasons at Newcastle, Owen arrived at Manchester United in 2009 at a time when Sir Alex Ferguson had built arguably the most dominant team of his tenure at the club.
