Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 13 from his Chicago Bulls season Last Dance is on the line… and a pair of sneakers valued at $2 million to $4 million is set to break the world record for any pair of sneakers sold at auction.
Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 13 shoes from Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals will go on sale next month.
The basketball icon wore the black and red sneakers in the Chicago Bulls’ 93-88 win over the Utah Jazz during their Last Dance season.
The pair of shoes is set to break the world record for any pair of sneakers sold at auction with bids expected to fetch between $2 million and $4 million.
“Michael Jordan sports memorabilia have proven time and time again that they are the most elite and coveted items on the market,” said Brahm Wachter, director of modern streetwear and collectibles at Sotheby’s.
“However, the items from his Last Dance season are of a larger scale and magnitude, as seen with our record sale of his Game 1 jersey in 2022.

“Worn in his final year with the Bulls, the iconic Air Jordans coming up for auction this April are sure to thrill the collector.”
Jordan’s Bulls jersey from Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals sold for a whopping $10.09 million at auction in September.
That figure was more than double his estimate and made it the most expensive sports memorabilia of all time.
The record for a pair of sneakers sold at auction currently stands at $1.472 million when Jordan’s regular-season set, Nike Air Ships, sold in 2021.
Jordan’s sneakers headline a two-part sports memorabilia sale called Victoriam Parts I & II with wealthy bidders who can submit their bids online beginning April 3 with the auction closing on April 11.
The NBA legend scored 37 points in Game 2 when he donned the Air Jordan XIII ‘Bred’ shoes in the second half of the win.
The Bulls went on to claim the league championship as Jordan, who signed the shoes, picked up his sixth Finals MVP award.
