Michael Jordan enjoys boat ride in Ibiza with model wife Yvette Prieto as dapper NBA legend smokes a cigar while relaxing on vacation

Michael Jordan is kicking back and relaxing this summer on a romantic holiday in Ibiza with his model wife Yvette Prieto.

Jordan and Prieto, who have been married for 11 years, were spotted heading out on a speedboat this weekend as the loved-up couple spent some free time on the Spanish island.

The dapper NBA legend, 61, wore a white bucket hat and matching T-shirt with light green and white patterned swim shorts during the boat ride, while also puffing on one of his signature cigars.

Prieto, 44, wore a beige knit beach dress over a bikini and kept her super expensive diamond engagement ring on her finger the entire time.

Jordan is said to have spent well over a million dollars on the glamorous ring for his future wife before popping the question in 2011, and it proved to be a worthwhile investment as the couple is still happily married over a decade later.

Jordan, who is worth an estimated $3.6 billion, recently spent $15 million on a new 80-foot yacht, which he used to compete in a deep-sea fishing tournament off the coast of North Carolina.

However, the former Chicago Bull superstar’s latest venture did not go smoothly.

He reportedly competed in the 66th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City with his newest boat, a yacht named “Catch 23,” according to TMZ.

Jordan hoped to get a share of the prize pool, which totaled $7.5 million in cash.

Unfortunately, his crew of seven fishermen and a captain failed to qualify, meaning he didn’t take home any money this weekend. The basketball great himself did not participate in the tournament.

By comparison, the $15 million Jordan spent on the new yacht is less than one percent of his reported net worth.

Jordan only recently acquired the boat, which was named Catch 23, similar to other boats he previously competed in.

In 2020, his boat finished in second place in the same tournament despite catching a 442.3-pound fish.

The vessel has been successful in other tournaments, such as the white marlin division of the 32nd annual MidAtlantic Fishing Tournament in August 2023.

Sportkeeda previously reported that Jordan participated in a popular sailfish event in the Bahamas last year, where he and his teammates reeled in four blue marlins, five white marlins and a sailfish.

Jordan is also known to fish with golfer Luke Donald.

Donald even once shared a birthday message with Jordan on Instagram, showing the two on a boat at sea and captioned the image: “Happy Birthday to the GOAT

“The most competitive person I know, in everything he does, he always finds a way to win. He is also one of the kindest and most genuine people I have encountered.
