Michael Flatley has revealed that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of cancer, in a statement shared on his social media accounts tonight.

According to the statement, the Riverdance star, 64, underwent surgery and is currently being treated by a team of doctors at the hospital.

The statement shared on Flatley’s Instagram page reads: “Dear friends, we have something personal to share, Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.

Following the news, fans were quick to send messages of support for the American-Irish dancer, with one person writing that they were “sending prayers.”
