Appearing on Friday morning’s episode of Lorraine, Michael opened up about his juggling work and home life in the pre-recorded chat.

He was asked by stand-in presenter Christine Lampard if he and Catherine felt any competition with each other career-wise.

As Michael explained: ‘I don’t know anything about that [competition].. I think we both do our own thing.

“We tried to do it at different times so that when the kids were younger, we could be there. But there is no competition, Catherine is going to do another year of Wednesday and many other projects right now.

‘Truth be told, my kids couldn’t see the movies I made. It’s another generation of fans, it’s the closest you get to immortality, a bunch of kids now know who you used to be, that part is fun,” he joked.

He also talked about his three children following in his footsteps, joking that they “are on it” as they take on Hollywood.

As her children have grown, Catherine has been just as busy as her Marvel husband, most recently starring as Morticia Addams in the hit Netflix series Wednesday.

Making the most of his time in the UK, Michael appeared on the Graham Norton Show this week, which will air on Friday night.
