Donald Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen has revealed he has no plans to leave the US after previously vowing to flee the country if his former boss is re-elected.
The criminal’s lawyer made the statement during a cranky livestream where viewers mocked him by adding embarrassing filters over his face that he struggled to turn off.
‘Can we stop that? I don’t like those stupid turkeys,” Cohen grumbled when a prankster put a cooked turkey around his head. ‘Let’s just get rid of this stupid stuff.
“I said I was leaving and the next day you stupid heads told me, the next day I turned around and said, ‘There’s no way in the world I’m leaving my country, thank you very much,'” Cohen continued .
However, his point was somewhat undermined by the addition of a filter, which gave him glowing green laser eyes.
Michael Cohen has revealed he has no plans to leave the US after previously vowing to flee the country if Donald Trump wins the election
Undaunted, he continued his tirade, saying, “If you’re not going anywhere, then just go. This is my country. I have every right to turn around…’
However, he stopped when a viewer added another Elvis-style filter, complete with giant glasses and quiff hairstyle.
“Okay, two seconds, then I’m going to block this idiot,” Cohen said angrily.
The former “fixer” previously told MSNBC that he was making contingency plans to obtain citizenship in another country in case his former boss regained the White House.
Cohen, who has become an enemy of Trump and was a key witness who testified against him during the hush money trial of Stormy Daniels, which resulted in a 34-count conviction.
He said Trump “has become the absolutely worse version of himself that you could imagine.”
He said Trump “was always bad” but has hit someone who “has surrounded himself with the worst of the worst imaginable” and has now reached “a whole new low.”
If Trump wins, “I’m out of here,” said Cohen, speaking Tuesday at a time when Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are essentially tied in the polls.
However, his angry rant was undermined by viewers adding humorous filters to his face during the stream
Previously a loyal Trump ally, Cohen turned on his former boss when federal prosecutors dug in during the investigation into hush money payments to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election
He said he was “already working on a foreign passport with a completely different name.”
“I have no choice,” he told Nicole Wallace in an interview.
Trump has made a series of statements vowing “revenge” against opponents, and recently threatened to go after people who “cheat” in the election, describing a broad category of potential targets.
Cohen began working for the Trump Organization in 2006 after helping the real estate mogul in a battle with the Trump World Tower condominium board.
But midway through Trump’s presidency, he turned on his former employer as federal investigators closed in.
The loyal fixer, who once said he would take a bullet for Trump, initially insisted he acted alone.
“Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign … have reimbursed me for the payment,” he said in 2018.
An angry Cohen ultimately decided to block those who tried to mock him, but said he has the right to remain in the US
He previously said he was looking into obtaining another citizenship after Trump vowed to go after his enemies if elected
But he soon changed his tune and became a key witness in the case against Trump.
Prosecutors successfully argued that Cohen helped his boss, who was then a presidential candidate, to silence Daniels and prevent a damaging story from being published just before the 2016 election.
He was ultimately sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to campaign finance violations, tax fraud and bank fraud related in part to the hush-money schemes.
