Michael Clarke jokes about becoming ‘wiser’ as he quietly celebrates his 42nd birthday after the Noosa fight
Michael Clarke has celebrated a low-key birthday with his seven-year-old daughter Kelsey-Lee, following their headline-grabbing fight in Noosa.
The retired hitter, who turned 42 on Sunday, joked about becoming ‘wiser’ this year after the high-profile fight.
Michael sat down next to a cake in his multi-million dollar Sydney home and got a little help from his daughter blowing out the candles.
“Another year and hopefully a little wiser,” he began.
‘Thank you for making today extra special KL (Kelsey-Lee). I love you darling.’

Artist Dina Broadhurst commented: “I hope you have the best day MC with that beautiful little angel of yours.”
Model Cheyenne Tozi wrote: “Happy birthday wood duck.”
Clarke’s public argument in a Noosa park with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough was arguably the most talked about story of January.
A bystander filmed wild footage of the January 10 stoush and later sold it to The Daily Telegraph for $10,000.
“Another year and hopefully a little wiser,” he began. ‘Thank you for making today extra special KL (Kelsey-Lee). I love you darling’
In the video, Yarbrough accuses Clarke of cheating on her with her ex, fashion designer Pip Edwards, on December 17.
Others in the group, including Today host Karl Stefanovic, his wife Jasmine, Yarbrough’s sister, and famed accountant Anthony Bell, tried to defuse the fight.
Yarbrough and Clarke, who was limping in the footage after injuring his hamstring, have been issued fines for “public nuisance”.
