Michael Cera pokes fun at his ‘weird’ blonde locks which the normally dark-haired star is wearing for a new acting role

Michael Cera is not a fan of his new blonde hair, which he is wearing for a movie role.

On Wednesday, July 17, the 36-year-old Juno actor appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and admitted that his hair is “weird right now.”

Seth, 50, broached the subject this way: ‘My producer said today, ‘Michael wants me to tell you he’s blonde.’ I didn’t really know what to expect, but I’m glad he told me.’

Michael replied, “Well, I kind of want to apologize for it. The thing is, my hair is in a weird place right now. And I know this is going to be on TV and all, but… that’s really all I wanted to say.”

He jokingly added that he feels like he “can’t cut it now because I’ll have, like, frosted tips. Or I’ll dye it back my natural color and that just feels wrong.”

The resident entertainer was clean-shaven for his appearance on the late night show.

He wore a light blue striped shirt and brown pants as he spoke to the comedian.

Cera debuted his blond hairdo at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, where his film Sacramento was screening.

Earlier this year, Michael partnered with skin care brand CeraVe, whose prefix is the same as the actor’s last name.

The official partnership between Cera and CeraVe was announced in February when the star appeared in a Super Bowl ad for the product.

The commercial debunked Michael’s playful claim that the range was named after him.

It reminded viewers that the “Cera” in CeraVe is actually short for “ceramides.”

Before the commercial, Michael said of CeraVe during an appearance on Bobbi Altoff’s The Really Good Podcast, “If you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera and people tend to state the obvious.”
