Bolton appears to be in good spirits just a year after revealing he had been diagnosed with brain cancer ahead of the holidays, requiring “immediate surgery.”

In a candid Facebook post, the Masked Singer alum said, “I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy New Year! I also want to share that 2023 has ultimately presented me with some very unexpected challenges.

‘Just before the holidays it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery.’

With hope and optimism, he added, “Thanks to my wonderful medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recovering at home and surrounded by the immense love and support of my family.”

At the time, the When a Man Loves a Woman hitmaker shared that he will be “devoting my time and energy to my recovery” and “taking a temporary break from touring.”

“It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but I have no doubt that I am working hard to speed up my recovery and get back to performing soon.”

He made it clear to fans that he is “beyond grateful for all the love and support you have so generously shown me over the years.”

He ended, “Know that I hold your positive messages in my heart, and I will give you more updates as soon as possible. Lots of love always, MB.”
