Michael B. Jordan confronts former classmate after she called him ‘cheesy’
Michael B Jordan got his chance to confront the woman who bullied him in high school when he hit the red carpet at the Creed III premiere in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star, 36, spoke with Morning Hustle host Lore’l, with whom he attended the Chad Academy of Sciences in Newark, New Jersey as a teenager.
Lore’l asked him questions on the carpet.
Miguel – who wore a double-breasted suit at the Creed III premiere in New York – recognized his classmate.
‘Oh yeah, I was the cheesy kid, right? I heard it,” Michael told Lore’l. Jordan was referring to a recent episode of his Undressed podcast, where he said he was “cheesy” for bringing the “stupid” headshot of him to school.
If Looks Could Kill: Michael B. Jordan got his chance to confront the woman who bullied him in high school when he hit the red carpet at the Creed III premiere in Atlanta, Georgia. He snapped at Morning Hustle host Lore’l, with whom he attended Chad Science Academy in Newark, New Jersey.
Last laugh: Lore’l and her friends called him cheesy, a nickname she doubled down on the actor on a recent episode of her podcast.
They both have quite a history.
On the podcast, Lore’l admitted that she and her friends made fun of the Just Mercy star’s name when they were in high school.
‘To be honest with you, we make fun of him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he wasn’t Michael Jordan,” he said rudely.
Then he went inside for another swing.
“And he would also come to school with a shot to the head,” he said.
We lived in Newark, that’s the neighborhood. We’d make fun of him like, “What are you going to do with your stupid headshot!?” And now look at him,’ he said.
Teen heartthrob: The Black Panther star, pictured here at age 16 in 2003, has been acting since she was 12
NOT cheesy: She appeared in episodes of The Sopranos, The Wire, and CSI before landing a role on All My Children when she was 16.
He also mocked Jordan’s Valentine’s Day gift to ex-girlfriend Lori Harvey, calling him “a cutesy guy.”
At the time, he rented an aquarium for Lori’s special occasion.
But Lore’l got a rude awakening when she confronted the Without Remorse actor and told him, “We’re back, all the way back to Chad Science Academy in Newark.”
As it turns out, the Fruitvale Station actor had listened to the podcast in which she brought up their past connection and remembered exactly who she was.
It was then that he made his comment.
Lore’l tried to hide her surprise and said, ‘I said we used to make fun of the name. But yeah, well, you’re not cheesy anymore.
Fans of the Fahrenheit 451 actor were quick to come to his defense on social media.
You called it cheesy. Now you have to call him actor, director, superstar, Hollywood mogul. Living legend. He took that shit personally,” one fan commented.
‘That’s why you don’t intimidate, joke or mess with people. Now she’s working the red carpet at her movie premiere. A full circle moment that money can’t buy tbh’ added another.
Man in Black: The actor, 36, wore an all-black ensemble at the Atlanta premiere of the latest installment in the Creed franchise.
And Jordan gets the last laugh. He worked as an actor from the age of 12 and appeared in The Sopranos, Cosby, The Wire and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation before he turned 16.
When she was old enough to get her driver’s license, she also starred in the long-running soap opera All My Children.
Last week, the actor sat down for an interview with the hosts of Good Morning America.
‘As successful as you are, you leave hungry. There is this desire in you to be all that you can be,” the hosts said.
The Fantastic Four star responded: “Life is short.”
He credited his parents for setting an example with how hard they worked. The Wakanda Forever star also mentioned that she understands the loss.
“Having people close to me who are no longer here and understanding that you have a shorter window of time to make an impact and wanting to inspire people to do better, especially for the next generation,” he said.
“So as long as I can lead by example and squeeze every last drop out of this thing called life, that’s what I’m going to do.”
