A track coach at a Miami-area high school has been arrested after police say he filmed two 16-year-old students in a sex act and harassed one of them for sexual favors.
Yuniesky Ramírez-Martínez, 37, was arrested Monday in Doral on charges including promoting the sexual performance of a child, offenses against students by authority figures and solicitation of sexual assault by an authority figure.
Police say that on Valentine’s Day, he incited two teenagers who are students at Downtown Doral High Charter School to engage in sexual acts while filming, before “bumping the fist” of the boy and pressuring the girl to perform the same act with him.
Ramírez-Martínez, who also worked at the school as a part-time security monitor, had been hired there only a few months ago, Doral Police Chief Edwin López said. nbc miami.
“Within his first weeks on the job, he has already committed several serious crimes, so we are happy to put people like this in jail,” said López, who later called Ramírez-Martínez “extremely dangerous.”

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, on February 14, Ramirez-Martinez approached two students and made a lewd comment, then offered to take them to a private location to “do whatever they want.”
Ramírez-Martínez then led the young couple into an audiovisual room that had a two-way window and told them they could “do it,” according to police.
When Ramirez-Martinez went into the next room and filmed on her phone through the window one teen performing a sexual act on the other, according to the affidavit.
Police say security camera footage shows Ramirez-Martinez approaching the door of the other room moments later, before giving a thumbs-up sign and punching the student with his fist.
Ramírez-Martínez also encouraged the two students “not to fall in love because they are too young,” the affidavit says.
The next day, police say Ramírez-Martínez approached the student and told her that he had seen what she was doing with the student, and asked her to perform the same sexual act on him, arguing that she needed to be with someone with more experience. .
When the girl protested and asked if she knew she was under 18, Ramírez-Martínez replied that she likes minors like her, the affidavit says.
Over the next few days, Ramirez-Martinez repeatedly harassed the girl for sex and threatened to tell the boy that she and he were sexually active if he refused to accept her advance, police say.
Doral police are seeking information from the public on any other potential victims.

Kim Ortiz, the school’s principal, said in a statement to NBC Miami that when administrators heard the allegations, they immediately reported them to Doral Police.
