The Miami Dolphins have been chosen as this season’s Hard Knocks season team, just two months after the New York Jets were chosen for the offseason version of the TV series on HBO.

Adam Schefter, from ESPN, shared the announcement Monday afternoon on X, also known as Twitter.

The Dolphins currently lead the AFC East and are one of the few teams with a chance to reach the Super Bowl in their conference, along with the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Only the Chiefs (6-1) have a better record than Miami (5-2), while both Baltimore and Jacksonville are tied with Mike McDaniels’ men.

In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) are the only team with a better record than Miami as they look to get revenge on the Chiefs for February’s Super Bowl loss.

The Miami Dolphins will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks for the first time in more than a decade

The Dolphins last appeared on Hard Knocks in 2012.

During one of the episodes, Chad Ochocinco was cut off by them.

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts overcame three interceptions to lead the Eagles to a 31-17 win over the Dolphins, who entered the game 5-1 on Sunday Night Football.

Tua Tagovailoa, who played with Hurts in college at Alabama, also was intercepted as he pushed for the tying goal in the fourth quarter.

Tagovailoa completed 23 of 32 passes for 216 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while Tyreek Hill had 11 catches for 88 yards and a score.

But Miami (5-2) was outscored 355-244 and had penalty problems, collecting 10 flags for 70 yards. The Eagles were not penalized.

The Dolphins face the New England Patriots on Sunday, October 29.

The Patriots are now 2-5 after this weekend’s home win against the Buffalo Bills.
