Miami Dolphins acquire All-Pro corner Jalen Ramsey from Los Angeles Rams
BREAKING NEWS: The Dolphins acquire All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey in a successful trade with the Rams for a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long with the cornerback set to pocket a fully guaranteed $36.9 million over two years.
The Los Angeles Rams have reportedly sent All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey to Miami.
In what can be described as nothing more than a highly successful exchange, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Dolphins and Rams have reached an agreement for the perennial Pro Bowler.
Ramsey seemed all but to confirm the trade to South Beach in a series of not-so-cryptic tweets before Rapoport’s report.
‘God is so AMAZING! OH MY GOD!’ Ramsey tweeted before news broke of the potentially league-changing acquisition.
The LA Rams are reportedly in talks to trade All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Dolphins.
He followed it up with; ‘Don’t ever tell me prayer doesn’t work! Have a blessed and happy Sunday! I’m not!
It’s been a run for Ramsey while with the NFC West franchise, which gave up 2 1/4 first-rounders to get him out of Jacksonville.
Ramsey won his first Super Bowl title when the Rams defeated Cincinnati in Super Bowl LVI.
He was traded to the Rams from Jacksonville in October 2019 after three full seasons with the Jags.
Ramsey was named a Pro Bowler during his first three seasons in Los Angeles and was an All-Pro in 2020 and 2021.
While with the Rams, the former Florida State star played in 57 games. She had 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and 47 pass breakups.
Throughout his already illustrious career, Ramsey is a three-time All-Pro and a six-time Pro Bowl.
Jalen Ramsey will be a welcome addition to an already respectable Miami Dolphins defense.
Miami’s new defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio, will no doubt be delighted with Ramey’s arrival.
