Mia Fevola talks about her powerful bond with ‘dad’ Brendan: ‘I can’t remember life before him’

Mia Fevola has opened up about her close bond with stepfather Brendan Fevola.

The 24-year-old spoke about the duo’s relationship on Sunday Stellar magazineby simply saying, “He is my father.”

Mia’s biological father died suddenly when she was just a baby, and a few years later AFL superstar Fevola came into her mother Alex’s life.

“I met him when I was three,” the makeup artist said.

‘That has been my life for as long as I can remember. I can’t remember life before him.’

Mia’s biological father died by suicide four weeks and four days after her birth.

In 2022, Alex told the Herald Sun she had tried to protect her daughter by telling her that Lonny had suffered a fatal fall from a tree, rather than reveal the truth behind his death.

She kept the secret for 18 years.

The goalscorer’s impressed daughter shared highlights from the evening.

In a series of Instagram posts, Mia posed alongside her family as the footballer was honoured.

The blogger had her boyfriend Bass Miller on her arm as the couple took part in the celebration together.

Her mother Alex and her siblings Leni and Lulu were also present to share their pride for father Brendan.

Mia looked chic in a figure-hugging, deep green dress that hugged her figure in the series of images on social media.

“Celebrating my dad’s induction into the Hall of Fame,” she simply wrote in the caption next to the photos.

Fevola previously revealed that his family was in tears when he finally shared the news.

One of the AFL’s last great larrikins and a showman, Fevola scored 575 goals in his 187 games at Carlton after being taken at number 38 in the 1998 draft.

A fan favorite, he was a two-time winner of the Coleman Medal as the AFL’s leading goalkeeper in 2006 and 2009, an award he won seven consecutive times with his club from 2003 to 2009.
