Mia Farrow salutes Michael Caine at 90: ‘He introduced me to Woody for which I forgave him’
Mia Farrow wished her ‘funny and wise friend of many years’, Michael Caine, a happy 90th birthday on Tuesday.
Posting an Instagram throwback of her and Michael at the 1979 People’s Choice Awards, Mia reminisced about the decades they’ve known each other.
Their friendship lasted through Mia’s high-octane showbiz romances with men like Frank Sinatra, André Previn and Woody Allen.
Michael won his first Academy Award when he and Mia starred as a married couple in Woody’s classic 1986 film Hannah and Her Sisters.
In her birthday post for Michael, she wrote: ‘He once played my husband. Just a lovely man. He introduced me to Woody for which I forgave him :).’

Mia, who at 78 is more than a decade younger than Michael, slyly shared a bit of the birthday boy’s romantic history, saying, “In the past, when she was married to her father, Nancy Sinatra dated him.” If they had married, he would have been my son-in-law.
Frank took Mia’s virginity and married her in Las Vegas in 1966, sparking a flurry of publicity and ridicule over the fact that he was 50 and she was 21.

Woody, 87, married Soon-Yi, 52, in 1997 and the couple have stayed together ever since through the ups and downs of their careers.
The allegations against Woody came under new scrutiny in 2017 when the Me Too movement took off, spurred in part by Ronan’s exposure of Harvey Weinstein.
A few months later, Michael broke his silence about his professional relationship with Woody, telling the guardian: ‘I don’t regret working with him, which I did in complete innocence; but I wouldn’t work with him again, no.’
However, the following year he took a whirlwind by declaring that he would be open to working with Woody unless the allegations against him were proven in court.
