- Both cartels have issued seemingly dire warnings to their rivals this week
A cooler filled with severed human heads was left at a Mexican gas station with a note from a cartel warning their rivals to “stop hiding.”
Hitmen from Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel left the refrigerator in a gas station in the town of La Concordia, Chiapas in southern Mexico on Monday.
Workers believed the cooler contained several doses of veterinary vaccines as the cooler contained an envelope with instructions for these types of substances, local media reported.
But after opening it, they realized it contained human remains covered in ice, as well as a message to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) threatening that the same fate would befall them.
The cooler was found just hours after the CJNG reportedly left a dismembered body hanging from an overpass on the Tuxtla-Ocozocoautla highway to warn the Sinaloa cartel to stay away from its migrant smuggling operations.

The Sinaloa Cartel apparently sent the severed heads by package to an individual named Óscar Orantes, on behalf of Insumos Veterinarios del Sur SA de CV.
An envelope with instructions, stated as per doctor’s advice and with storage of the contents at 16 degrees Celsius, leading the workers to believe that the package contained vaccines. Infobae.com reported.
But once they opened the lid, workers found the remains and a note apparently signed by the Sinaloa Cartel.
The message read: ‘There’s your bunch of pigs. The same thing is going to happen to all the polleros (smugglers) who generate money for the scourges of the CJNG and the f*****s of the Chiapas Cartel.
“Go out and fight you bunch of pigs, stop hiding under the government’s skirts. Pure CDS’.
The matter was reported to the authorities and an investigation was opened for aggravated murder.
The Chiapas state attorney general’s office announced Tuesday that three of the four decapitated people found in the cooler had been identified.
They correspond to three men and one woman Blanca ‘N’ and Luis Fernando ‘N’, both living in the municipality of Villa Corzo and Yonibeth ‘N’ living in La Concordia. They had not filed a missing persons report.
The identity of the fourth series remains pending.

According to Border reporta sign was left next to the body warning: “This will happen to all the people with Panchito, El Guero Pulseras and (El Tarje).”
El Guero Pulseras has reportedly been identified as the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in Chiapas, which borders Guatemala and is reportedly seeing an influx of migrants heading to the US.
