- Two women who recognized themselves in images reported to the police today
- Police are still seeking information about a third woman and man
The Met Police have arrested two women on suspicion of terrorist offenses following an incident during a pro-Palestine protest in Trafalgar Square a fortnight ago.
The two women were seen wearing images of paragliders on their tops on Saturday, October 14.
The force released images of three women they wanted to speak to in connection with an investigation into suspected terrorist crimes at a protest earlier this month on Friday.
As a result, two women aged 29 and 44 recognized themselves in the images and went to a police station in south London today. The pair are being held at a station in west London.
The women were arrested on suspicion of soliciting support for a proscribed organisation, contrary to section 12(1)(a) of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Police are still seeking help to identify a third woman who was seen in footage with an image of a paraglider on her top.
