Met Gala 2024: Hugh Jackman reveals his tuxedo is the SAME one he wore to first Met Gala with ex Deborra-Lee Furness… as he attends event alone for the first time

Hugh Jackman has made a surprising admission about the stylish Tom Ford tuxedo he wore to the Met Gala in New York City on Monday.

The Wolverine star, 55, posted a selfie to Instagram of him in the stylish black and white tuxedo hours before attending the event, revealing it’s the same one he first wore to the Met Gala in 2004 with his now estranged wife Deborra. Lee Furness.

“My original Tom Ford tuxedo. Converted and repaired,” he wrote alongside a stunning selfie, before heading off alone to the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Hugh’s choice to wear the same tuxedo he initially wore with his then-wife on April 26, 2004 may have caused some fans to raise eyebrows.

He paired it with matching dress shoes and put on a brave face as he smiled for the cameras.

His black hair was freshly styled and he exuded his signature rugged charm and charisma as he chatted with his famous friends.

The admission came as he attended the event alone for the very first time, following his shock divorce from his wife of 27 years in September.

Jackman and Furness were regulars at the annual fashion event, having previously attended it together six times (in 2004, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023), where they looked as in love as ever as they posed for the cameras.

The admission came as he attended the event alone for the very first time, following his shock divorce from his wife of 27 years in September.

It follows a shocking report on Monday that Jackman found solace with his adult children, Ava and Oscar, following his split from Deborra-Lee.

According to Woman’s Day, the actor is reportedly “sad” amid the high-profile divorce.

However, it seems that his greatest comfort comes from his children, who have supported their father during this difficult time.

“They have become closer than he could have imagined and he can confide in them, whereas before he turned to Deb,” the friend added.

Recognizing the signs of grief in her father, Hugh’s daughter reportedly started a ‘save daddy’ scheme with her brother.

“Ava and Oscar [have] has really rallied around him and it has had a huge impact. He always looks so happy when he’s with those two,” the source continued.
