‘Messy love triangle’ erupts in Kellyville, Sydney: man breaks into house with knife with family inside

Police are investigating an alleged domestic violence-related assault that took place in the Sydney suburb of Kellyville in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Kellyville.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command were called to Oakwood Place shortly after 2:30 a.m. to respond to reports that a man had broken into a home.

Nine Radio reports that officers are investigating whether the incident triggered my “messy love triangle.”

They found a 41-year-old man with severe cuts to his forearms and a 39-year-old man with cuts to his hands.

The men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital, both in stable condition.

The older man is under police guard.

A 35-year-old woman and three children who were in the house at the time are said to be shaken but unharmed.

Channel Nine has reported that neighbors say this is not an isolated incident, with police visiting the Kellyville address a number of times in recent weeks.

A crime scene has been cordoned off and the investigation continues.
