Hundreds of high-profile guests, including several former prime ministers, have come to celebrate the 90th birthday of billionaire property mogul Harry Triguboff at a swanky event complete with a four-course meal and scantily clad performers.
The founder of Meriton, one of Australia’s wealthiest people, was joined by 420 of his closest friends for the grand event Saturday night at Sydney Town Hall.
Among the guests were Scott and Jenny Morrison, as well as another former Prime Minister John Howard and his wife Janette, opposition leader Peter Dutton, his wife Kirilly and truck magnate Lindsay Fox.
Chili margaritas and glasses of Moet & Chandon flowed freely, while guests were treated to performances by former X Factor winner Samantha Jade.

During the night, an acrobat was seen balancing on one leg on a lighted sphere, while dancers were seen hanging from a ring that descended from the ceiling.
A tower of champagne flutes was filled with giant bottles of Moet by entertainers dressed in gold playsuits with matching headbands.
Mr. Triguboff, who is worth about $24 billion, took the microphone in the evening and described the moment when his colleagues asked what were the best moments of his life.
“I would say when we had the (Covid) virus, everyone showed up for work,” he said.

‘I didn’t ask anyone to come. They knew this was the way to run the business – to come to work.
“Then they decided to say that Meriton was like a brotherhood, we’re all brothers, you see, and I thought, That’s true too.
“Because even though some people go away from time to time, they always belong to us as far as we’re concerned.”

He made his way into the real estate industry in the 1960s and now heads Meriton.
