I shed stubborn fat and banished my ‘menopause belly’ in just six weeks – and I’ve never felt more energised
A mother-of-two has told how she reduced her ‘menopausal belly’ and saw her energy skyrocket in just six weeks with some simple lifestyle changes.
Rhian Allen, from Sydney’s northern beaches, noticed she had gained ‘a bit of belly fat’ as a result of menopause and decided to take a quick health kick.
She had three goals: lower cholesterol, lose belly fat and boost her energy.
It was never about weight loss, in fact, the health entrepreneur doesn’t even own a scale.
“I noticed I had gained belly fat when I tried on a pair of jeans I hadn’t worn in a while and they didn’t fit like they used to,” Rhian told FEMAIL.
‘Belly fat around menopause often occurs due to hormonal changes, decreased metabolism and even increased stress levels, which can lead to higher cortisol production.
‘I also know how dangerous visceral fat (fat around the belly) can be to our health – it is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and other health problems. Knowing this made me realize I had to take action.”
Rhian committed to monitoring her own behavior for six weeks Sing Wellness Program to the Letter – a comprehensive platform focusing on key areas such as nutrition, fitness, women’s health, mental wellness, education and community support.

Rhian’s changes were simple; everyone can do the same.
She committed to eating at least 90 grams of protein per day using protein shakes and following the meal plans.

“I trained three to four times a week, took a daily walk and also did a few swims,” she said.
Rhian also made sure she got at least eight hours of sleep at night, switched off her phone at 9pm and focused on managing her stress ahead of the silly season.
“I don’t have a scale so I can’t tell you a number (but) I think it would be about five to six kilos,” Rhian said.
‘I’m so happy with the results – not only in terms of appearance, but also because I feel much better overall.
‘My energy levels have skyrocketed, I feel stronger than ever and my sleep quality has improved dramatically. In addition, my cholesterol levels, which had crept up (a common symptom of menopause), are now significantly lower.”

Rhian credits her success to the program’s focus on gut health recipes and protein-rich meals.
“I’m in the best shape of my life, and the best part is I didn’t have to deprive myself of delicious food or go through a painful process to get here,” said the Healthy Mummy founder.
‘In addition to eating, I also prioritized meditation and incorporated 15 minutes of strength training with dumbbells every day.
‘I also include a Zing Wellbeing gut health and protein shot daily, which I make by mixing fresh turmeric, pineapple, ginger and our organic protein powder with water. It’s the perfect gut-loving, high-protein snack!
“Meal prepping has also been a game changer. It saves time, helps me stay organized and keeps costs down, making it easier to stay consistent and stress-free.”
