Highly regarded basketball recruit Mikey Williams was arrested Thursday on five charges of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a new report.
Williams, a four-star recruit from San Ysidro High School, is determined to play in Memphis next year and has millions of followers online.
According to CBS8, Williams was booked at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at San Diego Central Jail before being released on $50,000 bail just after midnight Friday.
The report said the 18-year-old arrested suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet 3, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to booking records — descriptions that appear to match future NBA hopefuls.
