It’s now been 12 years since fans got their first look at a comedy movie that most people would consider a classic of the genre.
Bridesmaids were the talk of the spring and summer of 2011, and in particular the scenes where the bride-to-be (Maya Rudolph) and four of her five bridesmaids are stricken with food poisoning and begin to vomit and experience uncontrollable diarrhea while visiting a fancy bridal shop.
Melissa McCarthywho was one of the actresses who disgusted viewers and made them laugh hysterically, confessed that she would love to see where those characters are now in a sequel.
“I was supposed to do a Bridesmaids sequel this afternoon, right now,” the actress and comedian revealed during an interview with People.
The plot revolves around Annie (Kristen Wiig), who suffers a series of misadventures after being asked to serve as a bridesmaid for her best friend, Lillian (Rudolph), Rose Byrne, Ellie Kemper, Wendi McLendon-Covey and McCarthy co-star. as Lillian’s bridesmaids.
