Melissa Gorga and husband Joe Gorga skip Teresa Giudice’s lavish wedding due to her ‘betrayal’

Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga chose to not accept the invitation to Teresa Giudice’s glamorous wedding to Luis Ruela on Saturday. 

The reality star, 43, and her husband, who is also Teresa’s brother, had initially planned to attend the wedding, but decided in a last minute decision not to attend the ceremony. 

‘Teresa betrayed them in a way that’s unforgivable,’ an insider revealed to People. ‘They’re not going to celebrate Teresa’s new marriage when all she does is try to tear apart theirs.’ 

Melissa, Joe, and Teresa recently filmed the season 13 finale of the Real Housewives Of New Jersey shortly before the ceremony, where a rift began between the three stars. 

Although the couple haven’t publicly released a statement or reasons why they chose to deny the wedding invitation, sources close to the two informed People of some underlying causes. 

While filming the finale, ‘false rumors’ were spread about Melissa and Joe, revealing that Teresa had a part in the situation, along with her now husband, Luis.

The source added that many guests and close family members of the reality star were also absent from the wedding day. ‘It’s telling that Teresa didn’t have one relative at her wedding.’ 

An additional insider expressed that it was in Melissa and Joe’s best interest for themselves and their family to stay away from the nuptials. 

‘Viewers will see, but after the continued attacks, it’s clear the healthiest thing for Joe and Melissa to do is walk away,’ the source stated. 

‘They just want to find peace, especially for their three children,’ the source added to People.

Before Teresa walked down the aisle and said, ‘I do,’ in front of 220 guests, her brother, Joe, expressed his frustration with a photo caption, reported Page Six. 

He uploaded a picture of his family and friends, and typed out, ‘Blood doesn’t make you family.’ While it hasn’t been confirmed that the words were aimed directly at his sister, the fallout between them raised speculation. 

According to the publication, a source expressed that Teresa had been ‘pushing’ a rumor to cause trouble during the season finale. Joe also reportedly did not get along with her husband, Luis.

Despite the rift, the wedding went on and Teresa tied the knot with Luis in front of a number of guests during an outdoor ceremony. 

The two were wed at the Park Chateau Estate and Gardens in New Jersey, and was filmed for a special that is set to air on Bravo, reported People. 

A source informed the entertainment tabloid that Melissa and Joe have ‘exhausted’ their efforts to have Teresa as part of their family. 

‘Sometimes removing the toxic energy from your life is the only way forward,’ the insider added.
