Melinda Messenger has ended her engagement to survival expert Dr. Raj Joshi confirmed after proposing to her during their current stay in New Zealand.
The former Page 3 girl, 52, broke the unexpected news in an Instagram post Monday morning, revealing that wedding plans are already underway.
She wrote: “We have some very exciting news to share. @raj.joshi.expedition and I got engaged in beautiful New Zealand during Matariki, the Māori New Year, and we’re getting married next year!’
Melinda revealed her engagement alongside a photo of the couple arm-in-arm in front of a sweeping, mountainous view of the New Zealand countryside.
The ex-glamor model, a mother of three, is said to have met her fiancé as she was preparing to embark on a 48-mile hike across Nepal to fund the construction of a residential school for deaf children.

The pair climbed the well-known Mount Snowdon in Wales together as part of her preparations for the expedition through Nepal’s Langtang Valley, close to the border with Tibet, with altitudes of up to 12,600 feet.
In an interview with The mirror, she said, “Being 50 is such an important and powerful stage in life. And the challenge is to keep growing and developing.
“You shouldn’t stop when you reach a certain age. It’s good to keep challenging yourself. As I get older I’m much happier and I don’t care what I look like if I fail.’
Melinda chose Nepal for her trek because she fell in love with the country 10 years ago when she visited her brother who lives there.
